Panel Adhesive Glue for Wall Panels: Everbuild Instant Nails
This panel adhesive glue is Everbuild Instant Nails in white: a high-strength, multi-purpose grab adhesive for fixing wall panels, ceiling panels and decorative boards without nails or screws. It is solvent-free with a low odour, so it suits indoor jobs in bathrooms, kitchens and living spaces, and it is overpaintable once cured.
It bonds to wood, plasterboard, metal and concrete, and it works with PVC, MDF, wood, metal and composite panels as well as ceramics and plastics. The strong initial grab holds a panel in place as soon as it is pressed on, and the flexible bond absorbs minor movement and expansion without cracking.

What panel adhesive glue is for
Wall panels are usually fixed straight to the wall with adhesive rather than with screws, which keeps the face of each panel clean and unbroken. A grab adhesive like this panel adhesive glue is made for that job: it holds the panel as soon as it is pressed on, then cures to a strong, lasting bond. It is used for bathroom and shower wall panels, kitchen splashback panels, ceiling panels, cladding and decorative boards, in homes and in commercial fit-outs.
Because it also bonds wood, metal, ceramics and plastics, the same tube is handy for skirting boards, door frames and architrave, trims and other small fixing jobs around the house.
Preparing the wall
The adhesive bonds best to a surface that is clean, dry, sound and free of dust and grease. Remove loose paint, flaking plaster, wallpaper and old sealant, fill deep holes, and let any damp patches dry out fully before you start. Wipe glossy or dusty surfaces with a damp cloth and let them dry.
Dry-fit every panel first, cutting it to size and marking where it goes, so that once the glue is on the panel can go straight onto the wall.
How to apply it
Fit the tube in a standard caulking gun, cut the tip of the nozzle at an angle to give the bead width you want, and pierce the seal if the tube has one. Apply the panel adhesive glue to the back of the panel in vertical beads or dabs spread evenly across the surface, keeping it a little way in from the edges so it does not squeeze out at the joints.
Press the panel firmly onto the wall and run your hand over the whole surface so every bead makes contact. The strong initial grab holds the panel in place, but for heavy panels or ceilings, support them with battens or props until the adhesive has set, following the times on the tube. Wipe away any excess while it is still wet.
Finishing and sealing
In bathrooms and showers, finish every edge where a panel meets a bath, shower tray, worktop or another panel with a line of silicone sealant, so water cannot get behind it. Matching trims for cut edges and corners are in our accessories range.
Once fully cured, the white adhesive can be painted over, which helps when it is used to fix skirting, architrave or painted boards. Keep the nozzle capped between jobs so the glue left in the tube stays usable.
Tips for a neat result
Work one panel at a time, so the adhesive does not start to skin over before the panel goes on. Start in a corner and work along the wall, checking each panel with a spirit level before pressing it home, and keep a damp cloth to hand to wipe away any panel adhesive glue that squeezes out before it sets.
In a cold room the adhesive takes longer to set, so allow extra time before removing supports or running sealant along the joints. Store an opened tube of panel adhesive glue upright in a cool, dry place, away from frost, with the nozzle capped.
How much do I need?
Coverage depends on the size of each panel and how closely the beads are spaced, so check the guidance printed on the tube against the panels you are fitting. As a rule of thumb, it is worth having a spare tube on hand for a full room, so you do not run out halfway along a wall while the adhesive on the last panel is still wet.
